Grace Rothery
Grace Rothery, Head of Retail UK Grace leads the UK business of Gazprom Energy; the largest business gas supplier in the UK, headquartered in Manchester. She has worked for Gazprom Energy in various roles since 2011, and prior to her current position she was the Head of the Legal & Regulatory team.
Grace attended St James RC High School in Stockport and Xaverian College in Manchester, prior to studying at Leeds University where she achieved a First Class honours degree in Law. She then completed her Legal qualifications at the College of Law in Chester, before training and qualifying as a solicitor at Addleshaw Goddard LLP in Manchester. As a solicitor she has advised businesses on all aspects of Commercial law, including commercial contracts, data protection, competition law, intellectual property, technology and outsourcing.

What’s the best thing about Manchester?
The wonderfully grounded people.
What has been your biggest disappointment?
When they stopped producing Cadbury’s Marble bars.
How do you relax?
By spending time with my husband and our enormous extended family, travelling, running, reading, spa-ing, learning about and drinking wine.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?
To the not so distant past when we weren’t constantly distracted by our mobile phones; when we had to talk to one another for entertainment, got our news from the newspaper and occasionally felt the luxury of being well and truly bored.
What’s your most over-used phrase?
“We need to get going” (usually about 30 minutes earlier than necessary)
What advice would you give to your 15 year-old self?
Be brave.
