Dr. Sally Penni MBE

Sally is a Barrister of 23 years specialising in Public Law with an emphasis on vulnerability and also in Employment Law. In preparing and conducting cases she has a reputation for being thorough, with a particular eye for detail.
In her Employment Law practice, She has Direct Public Access and conducts a variety of cases. Appearing regularly in Employment Tribunals and Employmenta Appeal Tribunal hearings and undertakes variety of written work such as the drafting of Contracts of Employment, Compromise Agreements etc with an emphasis on Sex Discrimination. And pro bono work in higher courts.
Sally also specialises in Data protection breaches and GDPR. She is contributor Cyber security law and guidance published by Bloomsbury. And forthcoming penning on employment law and Penni on Data protection.
Sally also Lectures extensively. Delivering seminars and lectures as part of the CPD program to solicitors as well as speaking as Keynote Speaker and Visiting Lecturer at various Universities including University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University Bar Professional Training Course and Salford University. She has tutored for various private organisations including Kaplan Altior, Delivering high quality training to Solicitors and trainee solicitors and Barristers.
Sally is an (ATC) Advocacy Training Counsel approved trainer for Middle Temple and the Northern Circuit. Highlighting her Excellence in advocacy.

Outside of her busy practice, Sally has significant Board experience as a NED sitting on various Boards Public and Private.

Outside of her Legal Career Sally works tirelessly to improve equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels of society, nationally and internationally.
