Chris is a Manchester-based TV Producer who never had a convincing masterplan but feels blessed to have landed in a creative industry. After school / college in Stockport, then English studies at De Montfort University in Leicester, Chris moved to London and set about trying to carve a career from there. This encompassed media sales for ITV, a journalism qualification, hard-nosed reporting at the Sunday Times, a scorching stint in Dubai tackling radio production, before he landed at the BBC. Ten-plus years later, Chris has been lucky enough to work on big sporting events for BBC Sport, hone his programme-making skills with international documentaries for Newsround and latterly develop younger talent while leading the fast-paced production of a weekly football programme for CBBC. And he’s back in Manchester!
