A Stockport school celebrated International Men’s Day with a series of inspirational talks.
“Stay strong, speak up” was the theme for the day at St Anne’s RC Voluntary Academy in Heaton Chapel.
Year 8-10 boys heard from speakers who shared their career journeys and spoke from the heart about how they survived through difficult times.
StateTalking sent three speakers to the event: Jo Sellick, founder recruitment firm, Sellick Partnership, Lee Mason, Key Recruitment and Joe Kennedy from Turn The Page Counselling
Writing about the day on their socials, the school said: “Y8-10 boys had the most amazing, uplifting talk today as part of our International Men’s Day.
“They listened to stories from 4 incredible men from different walks of life to say how important it is to speak up when life was tough.”
Whether your school is looking to mark International Women’s Day, World Autism Awareness Day or World Book Day, we can find the right speaker for your event. StateTalking speakers are free for Greater Manchester schools and colleges. Request a speaker
