A partnership with TEDxNorthernQuarter will create an exciting work experience opportunity in Manchester for ten students.
As an official event partner, StateTalking has been asked to supply student volunteers to help out both front of house and backstage. As well as looking great on a CV or college application form, the experience will also help students to learn about what goes on behind the scenes at a major event, as well as learning new skills.
Featuring 16 speakers, including “creative powerhouse” Jsky, TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026 will take place at Manchester’s Stoller Hall this September.
Simran Whitham, CEO Format Group and event co-organiser, said: “As part of our partnership, StateTalking will be working with TEDxNorthernQuarter to supply student volunteers for this year’s event, giving young people valuable hands on experience at one of the world’s leading conference platforms and access to great and insightful TEDx talks by leading industry professionals.
“From behind the scenes operations to front of house support, students will gain real world insight, confidence and practical skills.
The former Manchester College games design student added: “We are incredibly proud to partner with an organisation so deeply aligned with our mission”.
Fran Kennedy, founder, StateTalking, said: “This is such an exciting opportunity for pupils to not only hear some amazing and inspiring speakers, but also to gain valuable work experience at such a prestigious event.”
