Sumayya Mosam, Partner - Castlefield Partners Limited

In 2003 Summayya joined the Castlefield investment management business as its first externally-recruited employee. Over the years she  built her experience in many different business areas including compliance, anti-money laundering, operations, service delivery and client services. She is now working as Partner, Head of Information Systems and Risk. She leads the Women in Finance Charter initiative at Castlefield which aims to build a more fair and balanced industry and received a Women in Investments award for Role Model of the Year in 2018.

Working for an employee owned firm is important to her, and what could be better than working for an employee owned firm that is also part owned by a charitable foundation and chimes with her own values. She has a degree in Business IT, is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, has a Diploma in Regulation & Compliance and in late 2019 completed an MSc in Financial Services Management.

Being a busy working mum, her most precious thing to do outside work is to be with her children, family and friends. There is usually a lot of food involved too!
