Manchester Fashion Movement

Future-proofing our world thru’ fashion

Alison and Camilla – two northern women with backgrounds in consumer wellbeing, styling, events and relationship management – set up Manchester Fashion Movement (MFM) during the first lockdown. These two sustainability advocates wanted to build something they were passionate about, during a time of shifting expectations and major adjustment. They wanted to create something which was positive and made sense – in a time when not a lot did.

MFM’s main aim is to enable communities in Greater Manchester to better understand the impact of the fashion industry and recognise the benefits of a more responsible approach towards consumerism; to make a difference to our collective future. Through education in the community, communication through the arts and also by influencing policy change through campaigning, MFM provides an accessible platform, offering a personalised approach.
