Dev Shah
With over 30 years continuous experience of leading and running pharmacy operations in the UK, Dev has been active on a wide range of professional committees including Stockport PCT, numerous LPCs since 1995 as well as currently serving as a Board Director of AIMp and member of the Alliance Unichem Consultative Board. He served as Chairman of Community Pharmacy West Yorkshire, and involved in meetings with Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee, Pharmacy Voice.
As CEO and/or Chairman of his own companies, Dev offers experience in matters legal, financial, supply chain, marketing, operational, HR and training, showing a proven track record of growing profitability and managing costs, which he has now carried through to his present role as Co-Founder, Executive Chairman and Superintendent Pharmacist of Pharmacy Care Plus Ltd. This is a pharmacy group currently trading in twelve pharmacies across the north of England with a current annual turnover of over £12m. Previous to this Dev founded Independent Pharmacy Care Centres which he exited from in 2007 at an Enterprise Value of £60m
Management of the finance team, including monthly management accounting, P&L and Balance Sheet. Overseeing production of yearly business plans and budgets. Regularly challenging the Board on financial performance and agreeing plans to address issues. Instigating a complete overhaul of operational reporting resulting in more effective management of the business. Contributing to strategic direction and business planning.
Dev has continually built upon his qualifications and knowledge base with expertise in homeopathic pharmacy with a doctorate in homeopathic medicine and a Master Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner and Personal Development Coach.
Dev is also involved in the Social Mobility Foundation, a charity which looks at and aims to improve the social mobility for young people from low income backgrounds. The charity provides opportunities and networks of support for 16-19 year olds who are unable to get them from their schools or families.
